Playing DDLC on Linux?

Hello everyone

Just wondered if the game from the official website was playable on Linux (since there seems to be a Linux icon on top of the download button). Obviously not on Steam either because the Steam version doesn't support Linux as it looks.

In which case, which one do you launch? Obviously not the .exe, but the DDLC or the DDLC.sh?

Maybe, some feedback from Mac users on which one they launch can help.

And if some of you already played on Linux, does the distribution count? Like only debian-like distros or fedora-like distros?

(FYI, I'm at work right now so I won't be able to test that until tonight if I'm not busy playing other games on my windows)

I think it works for Linunx. I know Mac only has an unofficial version.

I wouldn't say unofficial since the steam game also supports mac
BTW, I know how to run it on linux now, but I'm gonna check the files and directories permissions first to see if I need to change something midgame, I'll let everyone know once I'm done testing

There's some sort of unofficial Mac downloaded Verison. Steam should work on Linux to I believe, but I am not very good with stuff on the computer end,

The thing is, it looks like the steam version ships an *.exe, a *.sh and an executable with it
The steam app displays the game on windows and mac, but not on linux, you'll have to launch the game from the game directory, maybe even from the command line

Don't worry about all the tech stuff, it's my own fault for using other operating systems

Sorry, I wish I could helped.

It's okay, it works... I had to use the command line to launch it though, I'm just gonna cruise through the game to check whether the directory permissions are okay when it's going to delete and add some files

So, as a conclusion for those who would want to know, if you download from the official site (which redirects you to itch.io), you can download ddlc-win.zip which also has the linux executable if you want to play on linux, and you can download the mac archive for mac
